The Responsibility of Freedom - Secret to Business and Professional Consistency

"...broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.  But ...narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it". - Jesus Christ.

Freedom is top of the list of human agenda. Third world countries are crying and fighting for it, world powers are striving to protect their political and economic freedoms, children and adults in the family all seek it earnestly, it's the dream of both the employee and the boss. But few actually understand it.

The irony is that freedom is an expensive commodity to acquire and you lose it the very day you stop paying for it.

Business professionals who truly define freedom and are living up to its daily demands are the ones ahead in their industries.

In this article we are going to;

  • Redefine freedom
  • Examine the price for freedom
  • The consequences for misunderstanding it
  • How to live in the "free life" to dominate your competitors.

For those in Jobs if your supervisor is too STRICT on you pls be slow to complain.

This is a lesson about business & life that makes a significant difference.

Potential and business professionals must take note.

You may have heard from motivational speakers that you have an infinite potential to succeed. That's absolutely.

"When we have total freedom, says Daniel Lapin we have infinite possibility to do whatever we want but potential does not mean actual"

 Let's look for their intersection.

The business environment is very stormy. Only captains that restrict the movement of their ships persistently and purposefully towards the light house shall arrive at the shore safely.

Entrepreneurship places much demand on your time and energy than full time employment.

The potential and business professional who wish to survive the fierce competition must be aligned to this truth.

The question is this;

why do we develop routines for children?

To place restrictions on their time and activities so that they can be more productive. Good.

"The more we restrict our freedom by setting rules and limitations on ourselves,  the freer we are to actually be productive". Daniel Lapin.

It's time to place restrictions on yourself so that your business goals can receive the right amount of your personal creatvity, efforts, energy and momentum.

Restrictions cut down on your tendency to invent activities to fill your time and energy.

The business professional who has no alternative to success must lock himself /herself down daily into the things that need to be done.

Naturally we know in our mind where want to go but our emotions will not cooperate automatically. Some of our energy within the day gets wasted on non goal oriented activities. Energy spent on invented activities is energy wasted.

The antidote is to place restrictions on your time.

People who want to be more productive in business and on the Job and realize true freedom must carve out their routines on a ROCK daily.

Routines give us a clear path and serve as a funnel that collect and direct all our potential into the purposed activities. We become more purposefully productive day by day otherwise your competitors will outpace you.

Unlike many people your daily schedule should in the least focus on your Sales revenue. Sales is a result of other factors.

If you devote maximum attention to those factors your sales will become automatic.

Focus on deepening relationship with your high quality customers. You can do that through chats and phone calls. Such clients are more likely to recommend your product or service to other people. You dont want to lose them. Adopt them as members of your business family.

Make it a daily habit to sharpen  your negotiation skills and business muscle. Your business growth is in tandem with your skills and actions. So you want to polish your relevant business skills daily. You can do that by Reading and receiving mentorship from coaches in relevant areas such as communication, management etc.

Maintain a constant and friendly paced Communication with your audience, customers and suppliers.

Make it a part of your routine to analyze feedback from your customers and the audience of your brand.

How much views did you get for your post compared to the previous?  What do you need to do differently?  Do you need to grow your audience? by promoting your business? What other strategies do you need to give attention to?

Devote time to Search, plan, test and evaluate new market strategies to grow your brand.

Successful business professionals do not wait for the sea to part before stepping in.

They are fast to invent a product or service even before the customers realize they need it. Otherwise a competitor will take the lead.

Find out how to effectively manage your learning to impact your brand audience.

Track and analyze your daily progress. Channel your energy the following day into your low success areas to give them a boost.

"True freedom is not the opportunity to do as we please,  but rather,  it is the opportunity to lock ourselves down into the things that need doing". Danile Lapin.

Life is like a river. Think of the canoe stick. Without it you cant propel your canoe to your desired location on the river.

Restricting your freedom improves your productivity. Your daily to do list is your canoe stick.

Reflection

What is your vision for your business?

What items must you add to your routine to move you more closer to your vision?

When will you start using and analyzing your daily routines?

Rediscovering the Meaning and Purpose of Business

"You will either step forward into growth or will step back into safety."- Abraham Maslow .  Are you in business? Many do not get the answer the first time. See if your answer ticks all the boxes. In mentoring subordinates in our multi million dollar education  business i mainly help them to redefine certain terminologies to themselves.  Because your definition will determine the steps you take every moment and the results you add to the company and your personal life.  The term " business " is one of them.  To state it point blank, if you have someone willing to pay you voluntarily for the work you do,  products you produce,  or service you provide, then you’re in business. Let's zoom in a bit. The company that drops salary every four weeks in your account is not your employer; they are your customer.  The clients/customers of the company you work for are not your customers; your employer is your customer because he buys your service(skill ). Man...

How to Rise into a Thought Leader in your Field in 4 Steps

" Discontentment is the seed of change". Dr. Myles Munroe  Archemedes, a Greek mathematician spent all his life searching the unknowns to know more about them. It is said that after many years of searching he discovered the law of hydrostatics almost by accident. After going into his bathroom one day he perceived displaced water overflowing and what was a mystery became suddenly explainable to him. Archemedes principle helps explain floatation and sinking of lighter and heavier objects in water, an understanding  that is immensely necessary in the marine, aviation and many other fields of life. In excitement he came out running and shouting "Eureka!!", "Eureka!!", the Greek form of the English expression "I've found it!". " Mystery is but another name for our ignorance; if we were omniscient, all would be perfectly plain". Tryon Edwards All forms of civilizations on earth made some of contribution to knowledge. One of the most impac...

5 Steps to Conquer Information Overwhelm and Achieve More in your Business or Career

" What gets measured gets managed". —PETER DRUCKER, management theorist. What do we seek to get from books, videos, articles, podcasts, posts etc? Of course to be better informed to make quality business and personal growth decisions etc. What is your method for managing the things you learn? How do you decide what to remember and what not to?  Memorizing has gotten a bad rap as a mindless way of holding onto facts just long enough to pass the next exam. This perception has it's consequences on your personal and business growth . Let's look at the science behind it. Decision is the product of thinking.  Thinking is the mental activity of searching and connecting already internalized ideas about the subject.  That means no already internalized ideas no active thinking. For example spend a moment to ponder over this question.    How does METACOGNITION contribute to your effectiveness in life? Answer to yourself.  Pls do that before you continue with this post....
